This range of bandpass-reject cavity resonator duplexers enables the connection of a transmitter and receiver to a common antenna for repeater operations.
A feature of the "CN" series duplexers and common to the whole range is the pass-band filter characteristics at or near both the transmit and receive frequencies, yet obtaining very high isolation figures.
This characteristic allows for a specification of greater than 50dB of transmitter side band noise suppression at any frequency between the Transmitter and Receiver frequencies.
It provides the receiver with greater immunity from the transmitter noise, and other Co-Sited transmitters, many orders of magnitude higher than other notch type duplexers.
Great care has been taken with the design to minimize RF leakage, each duplexer using double screened type RG214 coaxial cables.
The designer has had the field technician in mind, enabling these duplexers to be easily field tuned to a new set of frequencies. | | | |
All cavity resonators used in the "CN" series duplexer construction use the standard type "C" resonator design.
Finish is with gray enamel paint.

For special applications Polar can provide wide bandwidths of the pass frequencies similar to that of true bandpass duplexers with the additional benefit of close frequency separations between transmit and receive frequencies.
A table of performance of all "CN" model duplexers as well as three typical response curves is provided for reference.
All combinations use "N" type connectors and have a power rating of 150 watts, a temperature range of -10°C to +60°C, and a maximum VSWR of 1.3:1.
Each duplexer is supplied with tuning instructions to enable in field tuning using simple RF test equipment. | | |
