This range of bandpass-reject duplexers is suitable for normal repeater operation in the VHF or the UHF bands. These models maintain the feature of pass-band filter characteristics at the transmit and receive frequencies while attaining very high isolation figures.
Polar Electronic Industries Pty Ltd recommends bandpass-reject duplexers over band-reject (notch) duplexers for repeater operation wherever interference from (or to) other services is possible.
The "FF" models offer superior transmitter side-band noise suppression of 50 dB minimum and 80 dB minimum of receiver de-sense protection which gives the repeater receiver much greater protection than that provided by band-reject duplexers
Duplexers in this "FF" series have been designed for segments of their VHF or UHF band and may be retuned within those segments but not across the whole band. Model FF4-5N1 is factory tuned to user-specified frequencies and may be retuned to ±1 MHz if required.
The fixed frequency separation will be as per normal repeater operation for the band. Please specify your transmitter and receiver frequencies when ordering.
If close frequency separation is required, or the ability for the duplexer to be retuned anywhere within the whole frequency band, then we recommend that you refer to our close frequency separation "CN" model bandpass-reject duplexers which have these features. | | | |
These models use a helical wound resonator constructed from copper tubing incorporating a vibration dampening element in each section.
